Ash Athawale

Ash Athawale is a VP, Senior Group Managing Director based in the Washington, D.C., office of Robert Half Executive Search. He brings over 25 years of global experience to the searches he conducts, working with clients across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.

Ash is an international retained search executive who has helped a diverse client base in finding the very best talent for their leadership teams in finance and accounting, operations, technology, human resources, and sales and marketing. His clients range across a variety of industry sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, education, software and information technology, banking and financial services, government (federal, state and local), public accounting firms, and nonprofits. His strengths lie in identifying qualified professionals with tough-to-find skills and evaluating their technical and corporate culture fit with the workplace environment.

Ash joined Robert Half in 2006 and led the practices for Robert Half Management Resources and Robert Half Technology in Westborough, Massachusetts, before transferring to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to establish Robert Half in the Middle East. Upon his return to the United States, Ash led the Robert Half Technology division in New England before joining the retained search practice of Robert Half in Washington, D.C.

Having lived, worked and traveled internationally, Ash brings a truly global perspective to the executive search process.

Experience

At Robert Half Executive Search, Ash has successfully completed searches for public, for-profit, nonprofit and private companies ranging from startups to large corporations of varying sizes and footprints. He helps build senior executive leadership teams, including placing C-suite executives for roles such as CEO, president, CFO, COO, CIO, CISO, CHRO, chief development officer, chief clinical officer, vice president and director.

Prior to gaining significant international experience in executive search and recruitment, Ash provided management consulting expertise and delivery management solutions to clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region. In these engagements, he helped build large teams to deliver complex solutions by using efficient resource management and streamlining human resource and recruitment functions. Ash is tasked with conducting searches across the United States and internationally.

Personal and Professional Activities

Ash has been an active supporter of the Business School at City, University of London, and provides guidance to prospective executives and alumni. He has been a contributor to a variety of articles and publications. In the United States, he has worked with a number of networking organizations and has been a strong supporter of the Parkinson’s Foundation, American Heart Association and the Red Cross by raising funds and supporting national campaigns.

Ash has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Business School at City, University of London; a postgraduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom; and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.
